Who We Are

Northwest Community Childcare is an established Not-For-Profit service, providing Out of School Hours Care (OOSH) in the Northwest region of Sydney for the past 30 years.

The organisation is a community initiative of Northwest Community Ministries Pty Ltd (NWCM), founded by Rouse Hill Baptist Church.

We opened our first service in 1996 in Quakers Hill, as we recognised the need for quality childcare in the local community. Since 1996, we have opened 12 more OOSH services.

Our services range from being one of the largest in NSW, to one of the smallest in NSW. Our largest service, located in The Ponds, has a capacity to provide care for 477 children. On a daily basis across our 13 services, we provide exceptional care for over 2,000 children.

We are a recognised inclusive employer demonstrated by winning the 2020 Blacktown City Local Business Awards for “Most Inclusive Employer” and being a Finalist again in 2021 and 2022. We aim for inclusion to be embedded into the fibre of who we are, not only for our staff, but in every facet of our community service involvement.

A Note from the CEO

Since 1996, Northwest Community Childcare (NWCC) has been supporting children, families and schools across Northwest Sydney through high-quality Out of School Hours Care. As a local not-for-profit organisation, we are committed to creating safe, inclusive and engaging environments where every child feels valued, connected and able to thrive.

At NWCC, we believe childhood should be filled with opportunities for play, exploration, friendships and belonging. Our programs encourage children to have a genuine voice in their experience, build confidence and independence, and support their social, emotional and physical wellbeing.

Our commitment to families includes:

  • Delivering safe, high-quality care

  • Investing in skilled and caring educators

  • Strengthening our local communities

  • Supporting family wellbeing through practical assistance and engagement opportunities

  • Continuously improving our services and programs

Beyond our services, we remain dedicated to supporting the communities we serve through family assistance initiatives, charitable partnerships, fundraising activities and events that respond to the needs of local families. Above all, the safety, wellbeing and development of your child remain our highest priority.

Thank you for trusting NWCC to be part of your family’s journey. We look forward to partnering with you to help every child feel valued, supported and inspired to grow.
